[Financial News] Busan-based IP tech company SLASH B SLASH announced on the 10th that it will be conducting a citizen-participatory running campaign called 'Heritage in Peace Run' in collaboration with the JUSPEACE Foundation, established by singer G-DRAGON.
This campaign is a citizen-participatory program based on 'Heritage in Peace,' a global citizen campaign for the protection of World Heritage conducted by the JUSPEACE Foundation. Heritage in Peace is a World Heritage Fund fundraising campaign promoted in accordance with an agreement between UNESCO and the JUSPEACE Foundation, coinciding with the 48th Session of the World Heritage Committee being held in Busan for the first time in Korea.
SLASH B SLASH has gone beyond simple fundraising by adding digital and running elements. Based on its accumulated capabilities in running, digital, and intellectual property (IP) content, the company is expected to contribute to the protection of World Heritage through a campaign that allows any citizen to participate and run without any burden.
This running campaign will be conducted as a 'virtual running' event, allowing participants to run freely at their own times and places. SLASH B SLASH plans to donate a portion of the campaign participants' fees to the UNESCO World Heritage Fund through the JUSPEACE Foundation.
Registration for participation can be submitted starting from the 10th on the dedicated website for the running campaign.
Meanwhile, SLASH B SLASH plans to sequentially unveil the detailed program for Heritage in Peace Run following consultations with the JUSPEACE Foundation. The plan is to utilize online platforms to help spread the campaign and continuously contribute to the JUSPEACE Foundation's 'Host City Citizen Campaign' model, where participation starting in Busan leads to the next host city.
"We deeply resonated with the JUSPEACE Foundation's value that small participation creates peace. We will realize the campaign philosophy that protecting heritage is creating future peace through an experience where citizens participate directly by running," an SLASH B SLASH official explained. "We decided to launch the campaign using SLASH B SLASH's unique method, the 'Virtual Run,' so that any citizen can easily participate in protecting World Heritage."
