Recently, a post titled “A Notice Posted at a Certain Store” was uploaded to the online community Bobaedream.
The author, identified only as A, shared a photo of a notice displayed inside a restaurant, writing, “A notice posted at a certain restaurant.”
The notice, titled “A Request,” read: “There are occasionally some customers who speak informally to part-time workers or behave unpleasantly toward them.” It continued, “Part-time workers are kind young people new to working life who have come to work in order to become self-reliant.”
It went on: “As the restaurant owner and a member of the older generation, it pains me to see these young people getting hurt.” The notice added, “Even if our part-time workers occasionally make mistakes, we would appreciate it if members of the older generation like us would forgive them with generosity and understanding and encourage them so that they can become responsible young members of society.”
Please Say “Thank You”... Online Users: “The Part-Time Workers Found a Great Boss”

The notice continued, “It is not difficult. Please say just one word—‘Thank you’—to the part-time workers. It gives them great strength.”
A expressed sympathy, saying, “How must the owner of the restaurant have felt to put up a notice like that?”
Online users who saw the notice responded: “I was surprised that there are more people than I expected who do not understand saying ‘Thank you’ to part-time workers or restaurant owners. Some even say, ‘I’m the one buying from you, so why should I be the one to say thank you?’”; “It seems the part-time workers found a great boss”; “Is saying ‘Thank you’ really that difficult? It does not cost anything, and you do not lose anything by saying it”; and “How badly must customers have abused their power for the owner to put up a notice like that?”
