According to Korea Credit Information Services on the 10th, the term of office for the new president, Yoo Soo-young, is three years starting from that day. Immediately after taking office, President Yoo began his duties by touring each department and communicating with staff.
In his inaugural address, President Yoo stated, "I feel a heavy sense of responsibility and mission when considering the major tasks of expanding inclusive finance and transforming into productive finance," adding, "I will do my utmost to ensure that Korea Credit Information Services goes beyond its infrastructure function as a data provider necessary for the financial industry and leaps forward as a future innovation infrastructure that accelerates the AI transformation (AX) of the financial industry by connecting different data."
He urged employees to contribute to solving the financial sector's current challenges through active communication with the financial industry. He called for the organization to establish itself as a core financial data institution trusted by the public by ensuring thorough data protection and security system management.
Born in 1968, President Yoo graduated from Jeonra High School and the Department of Law at Sungkyunkwan University. He subsequently earned a master's degree in business administration from the Paris School of Economics and Business in France and a master's degree in international and European law from the University of Versailles. After passing the 39th Civil Service Examination and beginning his career as a public official, he served as an officer and secretary in the International Finance Bureau and Taxation Office of the Ministry of Economy and Finance; financial and economic attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in France under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade; public relations officer at the Spokesperson's Office of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance; head of the International Organizations Division in the International Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance; head of the Price Policy Division in the Economic Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance; head of the Future Policy Coordination Division in the Future Economic Strategy Bureau of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance; director general for planning and coordination at the Saemangeum Development and Investment Agency (SDIA); director general for policy planning at the Planning and Coordination Office of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance; director general for administrative and defense budget review at the Budget Office of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance; director general of the Future Strategy Bureau of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance; and spokesperson for the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
