Hecto Healthcare’s DeSimone Ranks First in the Probiotics Category at Brand of the Year 2026

[Financial News] Hecto Healthcare announced on the 10th that its probiotic brand DeSimone (Photo) was selected as the top brand in the probiotics category at Brand of the Year 2026.
Brand of the Year is a brand awards program hosted by the Korea Consumer Brand Committee. Consumers vote directly to select the brands that represent the year. Approximately 770,000 people participated in this year’s voting, evaluating brands in each category through online and telephone surveys.
DeSimone is based on the De Simone Formulation developed by probiotic researcher Professor Claudio De Simone. In South Korea, it received individual recognition from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in 2009 for its potential to help regulate intestinal immunity and support gut health.
Hecto Healthcare operates a product portfolio that includes its flagship DeSimone 4500, as well as products for infants, children, and adults. The company is also expanding into the pet healthcare sector through a probiotic brand for companion animals.
Hecto Healthcare CEO Kim Seok-jin said, "We find it meaningful that DeSimone was selected as the Brand of the Year in the probiotics category through consumer voting."
