Hana Financial Group Creates Mural Along Incheon School Route with Artists with Developmental Disabilities Ahead of Cheongna Relocation

[Financial News] Hana Financial Group has newly refurbished a school route at an elementary school in Incheon with artists with developmental disabilities ahead of the relocation of its headquarters to Cheongna International City. Through the relocation, Hana Financial Group is expanding its engagement with the Incheon community and continuing its efforts to grow together with local residents.
Hana Financial Group announced on the 10th that it had carried out a volunteer activity on the 9th at Bongsu Elementary School in Seohae-gu, Incheon, creating a mural along the school route with an award-winning artist from the group’s art competition for artists with developmental disabilities, Hana Artverse, and about 30 group employees.
Through the volunteer activity, the group covered the aging walls along the school route, which elementary school students use every day to travel to and from school, with vibrant murals by an artist with developmental disabilities, helping create a more pleasant educational environment in Incheon.
Lee Do-won, who won an Excellence Award in the children and youth category at last year’s Hana Artverse, one of the group’s flagship social contribution programs, took part in the volunteer activity in person.
The mural design used “Frogs and Friends in Pond Village,” Lee Do-won’s award-winning work from Hana Artverse. Images of frogs, flowers, insects and other living creatures freely blending together were reconfigured to fit the wall space along the school route.
Hana Financial Group plans to continue putting into practice its vision of “finance that grows together and shares happiness” through various volunteer activities that local communities can experience firsthand.
Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group is working to expand its engagement with the local community and promote inclusive finance as it relocates to Cheongna this year. It is continuing various social contribution activities for members of the Incheon community, including delivering happiness boxes to vulnerable groups during periods of extreme heat, distributing nourishing meals to senior citizens, donating happiness boxes to small business owners at traditional markets and organizing litter-picking activities, and inviting children from local child centers to economic musicals. The direct and indirect economic impact of Hana Financial Group’s relocation to Cheongna on Incheon over the next 10 years is estimated at approximately 3.4 trillion won.
