[Financial News] Multiple explosions were heard again before dawn on the 10th (local time) in the Sirik, Minab and Qeshm Island areas along Iran’s southern coast, Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency reported.
The agency said, citing local authorities, that the explosions were heard from the sea.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) also reported, citing local sources, that “enemy explosives” had struck several locations in the Sirik area.
Several hours earlier, IRNA had reported through its correspondent in southern Jask that an explosion had occurred in the Strait of Hormuz on the evening of the 9th. Jask is home to an Iranian naval base and is located in Hormozgan Province.
IRNA reported that even before this explosion, repeated attacks in the sea routes around the Strait of Hormuz had caused a series of explosions to be heard.
