Putin and Trump to Meet Xi at November APEC Summit

[Financial News] The Kremlin has confirmed that the United States, Russia, and China may hold a trilateral summit on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in Shenzhen, China, this November.
According to the TASS Russian News Agency on the 9th local time, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing that day, "There is indeed a possibility of holding a trilateral summit at the APEC Summit in Shenzhen, China."
Peskov explained that the plan was discussed during a phone call the previous day between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump.
The APEC Summit will be held in Shenzhen, China, on November 18 and 19.
Earlier, Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov said in a Vesti interview on the 1st that a trilateral meeting among President Donald Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and President Vladimir Putin could be pursued at this year's APEC Summit.
He said the matter was discussed during a China-Russia summit held on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, the previous day.
Ushakov added, however, that whether the trilateral summit will take place depends on China, the host country of the APEC Summit.
President Donald Trump met with Xi Jinping on the sidelines of last year's APEC Summit in Gyeongju and is expected to attend the APEC Summit in Shenzhen as well.
President Vladimir Putin also plans to visit China personally, leading a Russian delegation. Putin and Xi Jinping met in Beijing, China, in May.
