Trump Gives ‘Security Blanket’ Aide Harp a $45,000 Bonus

Natalie Harp, a White House adviser nicknamed “the security blanket” and “the human printer,” received a $45,000 Christmas bonus—approximately 60 million won—from U.S. President Donald Trump last year.
The Financial Times (FT) reported on the 9th (local time) that Harp, who has emerged as a key member of President Donald Trump’s inner circle, received the substantial bonus in addition to her $150,000 annual salary, or approximately 200 million won.
Harp is nicknamed “the security blanket” because she is said to calm Trump. She is also called “the human printer” because she carries a portable printer and prints documents whenever needed to hand to him.
She began attracting attention in July when she accompanied the president as he secretly switched planes over concerns about terrorism while returning after the Group of 20 (G20) Summit in Türkiye.
Last month, Senator Jon Ossoff (Democrat-Georgia) said during an election campaign that the president preferred traveling with “Natalie” to running the country, prompting fierce backlash from the White House and Republicans.
Harp has continued to be frequently seen around Trump despite the controversy. Some critics have described her as a prominent example of the blind competition for loyalty among the president’s close aides.
