[Financial News] Lee Ji-hyun, a former member of the group Jewelry, revealed that she was hurt by malicious comments directed at her child after appearing on Channel A's 'My Golden Kids.'

In a video released on the YouTube channel 'Saeropgehasoseo' on the 9th, Lee Ji-hyun discussed the difficulties she experienced while raising her children alone. "Because of the nature of being a celebrity, there are times when people misunderstand your intentions and dislike you even when you say the same thing," she said. "But I found it hard to endure insults directed at my child."

In 2022, Lee Ji-hyun appeared on 'My Golden Kids' with her son Ugyeong, who had been diagnosed with ADHD. Explaining why she decided to appear on the show, she said, "Before we went on the program, Ugyeong experienced great pain after being forced to leave his kindergarten. I also desperately needed help because I did not know how to raise him." She continued, "I desperately wanted to meet Dr. Oh Eun-young. However, early in filming, no problems were apparent in Ugyeong, and because it was a television program, things moved in a direction where he was provoked to bring out problems."
She said the malicious comments after the broadcast were directed at her child as well. "I understand that the program could not avoid certain things. But because only the provocative parts were edited and aired, it went in an unexpected direction," Lee Ji-hyun said. "I am used to criticism directed at me, but I was not prepared for insults aimed at my child. I felt as though I had become a sinner in my child's eyes, and I was sorry." She added, "I usually do not read comments, but I felt I had to look at the ones about my child. It felt as if my flesh were being torn apart."
Lee Ji-hyun married a non-celebrity in 2013 and had one son and one daughter. She divorced in 2016, remarried the following year, and divorced again in 2020. She is currently raising both children alone.
