The event was attended by National Forestry Cooperative Federation Chairman Choi Chang-ho and the heads of member cooperatives nationwide. They shared the federation’s vision, development plans, and current issues in guidance, economic, and financial affairs, while also presenting best practices from regional cooperatives and conducting training on the prevention of serious accidents.
The participants also discussed ways to expand the public-interest functions of forests, stabilize forest household incomes, and improve systems to promote private forest management during a meeting with KFS Commissioner Park Eunsik.
The National Forestry Cooperative Federation plans to continue supporting the management of member cooperatives so they can practice inclusive regional finance on the front lines, expand sharing activities for mutually beneficial regional development, and strengthen their capacity to respond to forest disasters.
National Forestry Cooperative Federation Chairman Choi Chang-ho said, “We will strengthen communication and spare no effort in providing support so that member cooperatives can serve as hubs leading mutually beneficial development in their respective regions.”
