Bank KB Indonesia Repays 1.135 Trillion Rupiah in Bonds and Other Debt

【Jakarta, Indonesia—Correspondent Aulia Maulida Hamdani】Bank KB Indonesia has repaid a total of 1.135 trillion rupiah (approximately KRW 86.5 billion), including the principal and interest on two corporate bonds.
According to local media reports and disclosures by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on the 9th, Bank KB Indonesia completed the payment of principal and interest on two types of bonds that day: subordinated bonds issued in 2021 and corporate bonds issued in 2025. The payment consisted of 315 billion rupiah (approximately KRW 24 billion) in principal for the Sustainable Subordinated Bond III, First Tranche A Series, issued in 2021, and 6.3 billion rupiah (approximately KRW 480 million) in interest for the 20th payment period.
Bank KB Indonesia also paid 800 billion rupiah (approximately KRW 61 billion) in principal and 14.33 billion rupiah (approximately KRW 1.09 billion) in interest for the Sustainable Bond II, Second Tranche A Series, issued in 2025.
Bank KB Indonesia had deposited the repayment funds with the Indonesia Central Securities Depository (KSEI), the paying agent, on the 7th. KSEI paid the corresponding amounts to bondholders on the 9th.
The funds used for the repayment were raised through customer deposits (DPK), the use of securities held by the bank, and interbank transactions. Bank KB Indonesia stated that all related liabilities had been settled following the payment of principal and interest on the two bonds, adding that the repayment would not have a material impact on the company’s operations, financial or legal status, or business continuity.
