[Financial News] Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH) announced on the 9th that it is recruiting tenants and prospective tenants for a total of 3,821 redevelopment rental housing units.
This announcement marks the resumption of the '2026 Redevelopment Rental Housing Tenant Recruitment,' which was postponed in August to revise the point criteria following its announcement last July. SH has gathered diverse opinions to faithfully reflect social consideration factors, while removing age-based points that were disadvantageous in the existing point system and maintaining points for vulnerable groups, thereby further expanding opportunities for low-income youth to move in.
This supply consists of 1,675 remaining vacant units in existing complexes resulting from tenant evictions and contract cancellations, and 2,146 reserve units. It will primarily be supplied as small housing units with an exclusive area of 39 m2 or less.
Eligibility for general supply applications is limited to members of a non-homeowning household residing in Seoul as of the date of the tenant recruitment announcement (September 9). Applicants must meet the requirements of having a monthly average income of 70% or less of the average urban worker's income (50% or less for first priority, 70% or less for second priority), total household assets of 345 million won or less, and a vehicle value of 45.42 million won or less.
Applications for priority applicants will be accepted via the internet and mobile devices from the 29th to October 2, followed by applications for lower-priority applicants on October 8. For elderly people and people with disabilities who have difficulty using the internet, on-site applications will also be accepted at the Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation headquarters auditorium from the 30th to October 2.
The list of candidates for document screening will be announced on October 23. The final winners will be confirmed on March 30, 2027, and move-in is scheduled to begin in April of the same year. Further details can be found on the SH website or through the call center.
