KFS Commissioner Park Eunsik Inspects Pine Wilt Disease Control Site in Dalseong County, Daegu

[Financial News] KFS Commissioner Park Eunsik visited a pine wilt disease control site in Yangri, Yuga-eup, Dalseong County, Daegu Metropolitan City, on the 9th to inspect the damage and discuss disease-control strategies for the second half of the year.
Dalseong County was designated as a special control area in June after the damage caused by pine wilt disease recently spread across the county.
During his visit, Commissioner Park received a briefing on the damage caused by pine wilt disease and ongoing control efforts in important conservation forests, including Biseulsan County Park and Yugasa Temple. He also held comprehensive discussions on measures for responding at the site.
Commissioner Park said, "Dalseong County is an important strategic area for preventing the disease from spreading to neighboring regions, as it is home to temple forests with significant conservation value. In line with the purpose of designating it as a special control area, please quickly establish a response organization, develop a tailored control strategy, and make every effort to prevent the damage from spreading."
