【Financial News, Jeonnam-Gwangju = Hwang Tae-jong】Gwangju Bank is launching a non-face-to-face guarantee certificate-backed loan service from the Credit Guarantee Foundation for individual business owners.
According to Gwangju Bank on the 9th, the non-face-to-face guarantee certificate-backed loan service allows customers to complete the entire process remotely through the Gwangju Wa Bank application, from applying for a guarantee from the Credit Guarantee Foundation to signing and disbursing the loan. The service reduces the need to visit the Credit Guarantee Foundation and bank branches in person, improving convenience for individual business owners.
When customers apply for a non-face-to-face guarantee through Gwangju Wa Bank, the process is linked through the Credit Guarantee Foundation’s guarantee review and approval procedures to the signing and disbursement of the loan. Guarantee applications are available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on business days, while loan agreements can be signed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Jeong Il-seon, president of Gwangju Bank, emphasized, "Individual business owners who have difficulty visiting financial institutions during business hours are expected to be able to use guarantee and loan services more conveniently, with fewer restrictions related to time and location."
Eligible applicants are individual business owners who are actively operating their businesses as of the application date. Corporations and co-owners of individual businesses are excluded.
Applicants can borrow up to KRW 100 million, within the amount covered by the issued guarantee certificate.
In February last year, Gwangju Bank introduced a non-face-to-face guarantee application service from the Credit Guarantee Foundation.
The bank has now expanded the service so that customers can proceed remotely from guarantee application through loan disbursement. The move is seen as further strengthening Gwangju Bank’s non-face-to-face financial support system for individual business owners.
Jeong Il-seon, president of Gwangju Bank, stated, "We will continue expanding digital financial services that improve financial access and convenience for local small business owners."
