【Financial News Ulsan = Reporter Choi Su-sang】The ‘Basic Direction for Ulsan Education (2026–2030),’ which outlines the educational philosophy of Cho Yong-sik, the 11th superintendent of the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education, and the future direction of Ulsan education, has been finalized.
According to the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education on the 9th, the new educational vision presented in the basic direction is ‘Ulsan Education Where Today Is Happy.’ It conveys a commitment to viewing life in the present as valuable, rather than limiting education to preparation for the future, while carefully addressing the difficulties faced by the education community.
The educational motto for realizing this vision is ‘Education that Thinks for Itself, Grows Together, and Opens Tomorrow.’ It reflects Superintendent Cho Yong-sik’s educational philosophy.
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education also established five policy directions to ensure that this vision and motto are put into practice in schools: ‘More Enjoyable Learning,’ ‘More Thoroughly Tailored Support,’ ‘Warmer Relationships,’ ‘A More Sustainable Environment,’ and ‘Closer Administration.’
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to distribute the new basic direction to its headquarters departments, affiliated institutions, the district education offices, and schools. It will also incorporate the direction into various plans, official documents, and promotional materials.
Superintendent Cho Yong-sik said, "It is important that the new direction for Ulsan education does not remain merely a slogan but leads to tangible changes in schools and classrooms." He added, "We will listen more closely to voices from the field and build Ulsan education that firmly supports students’ learning and growth together with the education community."
