Korea Maritime & Ocean University Discusses Strengthening Educational Cooperation with University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City

[Financial News] Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU) said on the 9th that a delegation led by Bui Quang Hung, president of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, visited the university on the 7th to discuss expanding cooperation in education, research, and international exchange.
The two universities signed an academic exchange agreement in January and plan to expand practical cooperation, including joint educational programs and research, based on their strengths in maritime specialization.
The visit was arranged to define specific areas of practical cooperation based on the international academic exchange agreement previously signed by the two universities.
The delegation from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City met with President Ryoo Dong Keun and discussed ways to expand cooperation in various areas, including student and faculty exchanges, the development of joint educational programs, joint research, and the hosting of international academic events.
The universities also agreed to identify an interdisciplinary international cooperation model spanning maritime affairs, logistics, economics, and technology by linking their educational and research capabilities.
Ryoo Dong Keun said, "This visit was an opportunity for the two universities to move beyond signing an agreement, share their actual education and research environments, and examine in detail the areas of cooperation they can pursue together in the future. We will work with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City to provide students with more diverse international educational opportunities and develop a sustainable cooperation model through which universities in both countries can grow together."
