[Financial News] Suhyup Bank shared its corporate credit-analysis expertise with Kolon Industries employees.
According to Suhyup Bank on the 8th, the Credit Strategy Forum (CSF) was held for Kolon Industries employees at the Kolon One & Only Tower in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on the same day.
Yang Ki-tae, an expert in corporate credit analysis, delivered four lectures at the forum on working assets, profitability, funding, cash-flow quality, and business cycles. The program went beyond evaluating a company’s financial information through individual figures and ratios. It examined the direction, pace, and scale of changes while interpreting how each figure affects the company as a whole. The program was also significant because it established a “common analytical language” through which companies and financial institutions could understand corporate changes together.
Yang emphasized the importance of credit analysis from a macroeconomic perspective. He explained, “Financial figures are the leaves, a company’s business and financial structure are the tree, and business cycles and the liquidity environment are the forest. To properly understand a company, we need to examine its structure together with the economic environment surrounding it.”
Yang Ki-tae gained practical experience in corporate credit and financial analysis at S&P and global accounting and consulting firm EY. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Business at Soongsil University and a visiting professor in the Department of Economics at Seoul Women’s University.
Suhyup Bank plans to operate CSF programs for a wider range of companies in the future. The bank intends to develop the program beyond simple financial education into a knowledge platform that shares a common analytical language for banks and companies, while continuing to expand it as specialized financial content that can support corporate management decisions.
Shin Hak-ki, president of Suhyup Bank, said, “Through ongoing CSF programs, we will continue sharing Suhyup Bank’s accumulated expertise and analytical capabilities with client companies, and build the trust formed in that process into the bank’s long-term reputational capital.”
