HUG Automates Dundeun Jeonse Housing Purchase Reviews with AI: “Verification Completed in 10 Seconds”

According to HUG on the 9th, the new system automatically extracts information needed for reviews, including housing types and rights relationships, from real estate registry documents and converts it into standardized materials. It automates the process in which employees previously checked each registry document and entered the information manually.
Dundeun Jeonse Housing is a program in which HUG directly purchases homes for which it has paid the jeonse deposits on behalf of tenants and supplies them as public rental housing to members of households without homes. Preliminary reviews of relevant documents are conducted when selecting properties to purchase through court auctions and public auctions.
A pilot operation reduced the time required to prepare basic preliminary review materials from 150 seconds to 10 seconds per case. This represents a 93% reduction in processing time compared with the previous process.
The benefits of automation are expected to help process the increased volume of reviews this year. HUG plans to supply 3,600 Dundeun Jeonse Housing units this year, twice the 1,800 units supplied last year.
HUG plans to gradually expand the range of documents analyzed by AI from real estate registry documents to appraisal reports and property sale statements. In the long term, it also plans to build an AI-based platform supporting the overall court and public auction review process.

He added, "We will continue expanding work innovation through AI and digital technologies so that greater organizational productivity leads to improvements in public services that citizens can feel."
