【Financial News, Yeongam—Reporter Hwang Tae-jong】HD Hyundai Samho was recognized by the government for its contribution to the development of the electrical industry and the spread of a safety culture.
 HD Hyundai Samho said on the 9th that it received a Prime Minister’s Commendation at the 2026 Korea Electrical Safety Awards ceremony held the previous day at The May Hotel in Jeonju.
 Now in its 28th year, the Korea Electrical Safety Awards is the largest event in the energy sector. It is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and organized by the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation (KESCO). The event identifies and honors individuals and organizations with outstanding achievements in preventing electrical accidents and establishing a culture of safety management.
 HD Hyundai Samho received the Prime Minister’s Commendation in recognition of its achievements, including securing reserve power capacity and improving production capacity by expanding a 154-kV transformer system, as well as expanding power receiving and transforming facilities and building power-supply infrastructure in line with the completion of the Second Dolphin Quay in 2024.
 An HD Hyundai Samho official said, "Stable power supply and electrical safety are essential elements at shipbuilding sites. We will continue to make every effort to secure electrical facilities and ensure safety management."
