KORAIL Tourism Development and Chuncheon City have launched a stay-based culinary travel program centered on dakgalbi, Chuncheon’s signature dish. The program allows visitors to enjoy the region’s local ingredients, culture, and tourism resources together.
The two organizations announced on the 9th that they will begin selling two “2026 Chuncheon K-Chicken Belt” travel packages through the KORAIL Tourism Development Travel Mall on the 10th. The itineraries are designed to offer travelers an experience of Chuncheon’s food and culture, rather than just a single meal of dakgalbi.
The one-day package, “A Table for a Day in Chuncheon,” will operate on October 16 using a special ITX-Cheongchun train. It offers five courses tailored to travelers’ preferences: “Bapsang,” featuring Korean cuisine and local ingredients; “Myeonsang,” centered on makguksu; “Sulsang,” combining traditional liquor with dakgalbi; and “Nolsang” courses for families, couples, and friends.
The one-night, two-day package, “A Table for One Night in Chuncheon,” will operate twice, on October 23–24 and October 30–31. Participants will visit Soyanggang Skywalk, Jisiul Brewery, and Ginkgo Tree Village, while taking part in activities such as sweet potato harvesting, dessert making, traditional liquor tasting, makguksu making, and forest healing. The package also includes distinctive culinary offerings, such as dakgalbi pizza and potato chicken presented by young startup businesses, as well as locally brewed craft beer.
“A Table for a Day in Chuncheon” costs 67,000–85,000 won, while “A Table for One Night in Chuncheon” starts at 224,000 won. To mark its launch, the one-night, two-day package will be sold at a 30% discount from the regular price, with a maximum of 30 participants per departure.
