Han Dong-hoon: "Criminal Action Against Kim Min-seok for Spreading False Information"

[Financial News] Independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon announced on the 9th that he would take criminal action against Democratic Party of Korea leader Kim Min-seok for spreading false information. This came after Representative Kim publicly suspected "cooperation with the prosecution" following Rep. Han's raising of various allegations regarding "new drug solicitation" against Ministry of Justice ministerial nominee Kim Seung-won. Representative Kim also ordered the party to investigate the truth behind allegations of leaked investigation records and evidence manipulation.
On this day, Rep. Han stated via social media, "I have never received anything resembling materials from the prosecution, so I will hold Representative Kim strictly accountable for his baseless lies."
He continued, "The same applies to people like Representative Kim who tell lies based on their own speculation," adding, "Democratic Party of Korea 'oppas' such as the New Millennium NHK room salon and Kim Min-seok, the facts regarding the Democratic Party of Korea 'oppas' poison lobby will not disappear just because you try to dilute the issue."
Previously, Representative Han has been continuously raising suspicions regarding allegations of soliciting new drugs from nominee Kim. He is currently leading the discussion on issues related to the vetting of nominee Kim, including the release of a transcript of a phone conversation between Mr. Yang and GENENCELL CEO Kang Se-chan during the COVID-19 crisis.
In response to this, Representative Kim pressured the party at a Supreme Council meeting in Jeonju on the same day, stating, "The various claims being raised by one lawmaker could not have occurred without a collaborator within the prosecution," and adding, "We must thoroughly verify the facts and truth regarding the issue and proceed to the stage of taking legal action against all those involved in the leak."
He continued by ordering, "Please ensure that Supreme Council members Han Min-soo and Jeon Yong-gi, who have consistently raised the issue, along with the spokesperson team, members of the Judiciary Committee, and necessary personnel, thoroughly investigate Rep. Han's case and prepare for legal action, separate from the conclusion of Nominee Kim's confirmation hearing." Targeting Rep. Han, he criticized him by saying, "Phrases like 'Joseon's best sword' and 'Joseon's best scissors' make one obsess over the word 'Joseon's best.' Wouldn't it be more accurate to call them 'Joseon's defective sword' and 'Joseon's defective scissors'?"
