On the 9th, the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety announced that it had been designated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) as an agency responsible for specialized training in the disaster and safety sector under the Framework Act on the Management of Disasters and Safety.
Accordingly, it will operate training programs for managers and working-level staff at disaster-management-responsible institutions, including central government agencies, local governments, and public institutions.
The training will be divided into manager and working-level courses. The Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety plans to enhance trainees’ disaster and safety capabilities by using facilities at its safety experience center, including those for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, descent devices, and safety equipment.
This year’s training is scheduled to be held in person starting November 26 at the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety’s education center in Gimcheon. Registration will be available on the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety’s website starting October 26.
Park Chang-geun, president of the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety, said, "We will provide high-quality training based on the expertise in construction, facility, and underground safety that we have accumulated, so that we do not neglect our responsibilities as a disaster-management-responsible institution."
