From Public Service Recruitment Information to Mock Interviews: 2026 Public Service Fair to Be Held in Daejeon and Gwangju

A Public Service Fair will be held in Daejeon and Gwangju, offering visitors the opportunity to check recruitment information from central administrative agencies and public institutions, consult serving civil servants, and take part in mock interviews and mock tests.
The Ministry of Personnel Management announced on the 9th that it will hold the 2026 Public Service Fair at Daejeon Metropolitan City Hall from the 9th to the 10th and at Gwangju City Hall from the 15th to the 16th.
This year’s fair will feature themed halls, including the Ministry of Personnel Management’s public service recruitment hall, along with individual exhibition booths operated by a total of 80 central government agencies and public institutions. Visitors can find information in one place on each institution’s recruitment system, job functions and entry routes.
A consultation program offering direct meetings with serving civil servants has also been arranged. Civil servants who entered public service through various routes, including open recruitment, regional talent programs, and the police and firefighting services, will explain their exam preparation and actual experiences in public service. Consultations with serving civil servants will be held seven times each in Daejeon and Gwangju.
Programs allowing visitors to experience the actual recruitment process will also be offered. A total of 11 mock interviews will be held in settings similar to real interviews, followed by advice from interview panel members. Mock tests will also be available for the Grade 9 open recruitment examination and the Public Service Aptitude Test (PSAT). The Grade 9 mock examination will be held twice, while the PSAT will be administered five times, including basic and advanced sessions.
Korean history instructor Tae-Sung Choi will deliver special lectures in Daejeon on the 9th and Gwangju on the 15th under the theme “The Ideal Public Servant Learned Through History.” The lectures will examine the values and qualities required of public servants through historical figures and events.
Experiential activities, including making a one-day civil servant identification card and taking instant photos in a public service setting, will also be available.
