[Financial News] Coupang Fulfillment Services (CFS) has joined forces with the Yeoju City Public Health Center to manage the health of logistics center employees and prevent heat-related illnesses.
According to industry sources on the 9th, CFS conducted a public-private joint health-promotion campaign with the Yeoju City Public Health Center at its Yeoju 1 and 2 Centers the previous day. The two sides have held the campaign twice a year since 2024.
Officials from the Yeoju City Public Health Center visited CFS’s Yeoju 1 and 2 Centers that day. Together with CFS’s Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team, they measured employees’ blood pressure and blood glucose levels and provided one-on-one health consultations. They also explained the five key guidelines for preventing heat-related illnesses during the late-summer heat, along with nine daily practices for preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
That same day, CFS CEO Jeong Jong-chul visited the Yeoju 1 and 2 Centers to inspect summer heat safety and health management, including compliance with heat-related illness prevention guidelines and the conditions of rest facilities. He later handed out cups of ice and beverages to on-site workers.
A CFS official said, "As the late-summer heat is expected to continue this year, we have designated the period through September as a special summer heat management period, and the CEO is personally visiting worksites to closely inspect heat-related illness prevention measures. We will make workers’ health and safety our top management priority and actively cooperate with public institutions and others to establish a safety culture at logistics worksites."
