Eight Injured in Suspected Hornet-Sting Incident at Elementary School in Seo District, Busan

[Financial News] At 7:22 a.m. on the 9th, people were stung by bees presumed to be hornets at an elementary school in Seo District, Busan.
One person suffered serious injuries and six others sustained minor injuries in the incident and were taken to nearby hospitals. One additional person received emergency treatment at the scene and was not transported to a hospital.
Fire authorities dispatched to the scene found and removed a beehive in a tree about 5 meters above the ground near the school’s main gate.
According to the Busan Fire Department, 77.8% of the bee-sting cases in Busan transported by the 119 Emergency Medical Service over the past three years occurred from July through September. September recorded the highest number, with 130 people (30.0%), followed by August with 113 (26.1%) and July with 94 (21.7%).
