[Financial News] Genesis BBQ Group is continuing its community outreach by donating chicken to underprivileged groups nationwide, as well as to Jincheon National Athletes’ Village and people from all walks of life.
According to industry sources on the 9th, Genesis BBQ Group donated approximately 17,000 chickens across the country through social contribution activities from January through August this year.
Genesis BBQ Group carries out various social contribution programs, including “Chicken University Goodwill Donation,” “Chicken Relay with Families,” and “Visiting Chicken Relay.” In August alone, it delivered more than 2,000 chickens to Jincheon National Athletes’ Village in Chungcheongbuk-do and underprivileged residents in Gyeonggi Province.
Through Chicken University Goodwill Donation, the group worked with the Gyeonggi Chapter of the Korean Red Cross to support elderly people living alone, children’s welfare facilities, and residential facilities for people with severe disabilities in the province. Now in its 27th year, the campaign is a signature social contribution initiative in which families (franchisees) and employees participating in Chicken University’s training courses personally prepare chicken and deliver it to local communities. In March, Genesis BBQ Group was also inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Gyeonggi Chapter of the Korean Red Cross in recognition of its contributions to charitable activities.
The group also visited Jincheon National Athletes’ Village and held a Visiting Chicken Relay, providing 500 servings of chicken to national team athletes and staff members focused on their training. Nationwide outreach efforts, including Chicken Relay with Families involving headquarters and franchisees, are continuing as well.
A Genesis BBQ Group representative said, “In August, our families and employees were able to share warmth with communities across the country through our joint charitable efforts. We will continue to carefully look after neighbors in need and carry out a range of BBQ’s distinctive social contribution activities.”
