[Financial News] LG CNS will apply AI agents at the Chaum Health Screening Center in cooperation with Chaum and CHA Healthcare. The company plans to use artificial intelligence (AI) throughout the screening process, from analyzing customers’ screening histories and recommending personalized tests to drafting results and providing follow-up care guidance.
LG CNS said on the 9th that it recently held a kickoff meeting for the introduction of an intelligent health screening center with Chaum and CHA Healthcare at the Chaum Health Screening Center in Gangnam District, Seoul. In cooperation with the two organizations, LG CNS will conduct a proof of concept (PoC) to apply AI agents to Chaum’s screening operations. LG CNS will develop AI agents specialized in health screening, while Chaum will apply them in actual screening settings to assess their operational efficiency and practical potential.
LG CNS established a partnership with CHA Bio Group through a strategic investment in January. Building on this collaboration, the company plans to develop its AI-based health screening business and eventually expand its application to screening centers operated by CHA Medical Center.
The Chaum Health Screening Center designs different screening programs for each customer based on their past screening history, consultation records, and recommendations from their primary physician. To review an individual customer’s history, nurses have had to search for information across multiple systems, including customer relationship management (CRM) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. They have also handled consultation records, follow-up care, and scheduling manually.
LG CNS plans to develop AI agents for use throughout the screening process. The agents will reduce nurses’ repetitive tasks, such as retrieving data and preparing records, allowing them to focus more on customer consultations and health management.
The AI agents will collect and analyze customers’ screening records, test results, consultation histories, and follow-up schedules scattered across CRM and EMR systems. Based on this analysis, they will provide information needed for screening operations. The agents will also analyze customers’ past results and medical recommendations, present the necessary tests along with the reasons for them, and prepare materials explaining why the tests are needed.
AI will also be applied when screening results are delivered. It will synthesize test results and medical findings and assist in drafting reports. The technology will support automated guidance before and after screenings as well. The AI agents will create checklists of precautions tailored to each customer before the screening, then manage schedules for repeat tests and follow-up observations at three-, six-, and nine-month intervals after the screening. They will also assist with referrals to outpatient care for customers with abnormal findings and provide information about follow-up programs.
Because foreign customers account for approximately 30% of visitors to the Chaum Health Screening Center, the center is also considering AI-powered interpretation and translation services for them. The plan is to use AI-based interpretation and translation during the delivery of screening results and consultations to reduce language barriers and improve customer convenience.
Through this collaboration, LG CNS plans to develop an AI agent model specialized in health screening consultations and eventually expand its use to major screening centers operated by CHA Medical Center.
