Lotte Group Holds Global Job Fair in Jakarta to Recruit Local Talent

[Financial News] Lotte Group is holding a global job fair in Indonesia for local job seekers as it seeks to recruit outstanding talent.
According to Lotte Group on the 9th, the global job fair being held in Jakarta, Indonesia, is a local recruitment event aimed at securing outstanding talent from overseas. Nine affiliates operating in Indonesia are participating, including Lotte Chemical, Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mart, and Lotte Global Logistics.
Lotte Group will introduce its major businesses and those of its affiliates to approximately 600 Indonesian job seekers attending the event. The program will also include recruitment consultations with current employees and mock interviews. Experiential programs, such as promotional booths operated by each participating affiliate and prize events, will also be offered.
This is Lotte Group’s second global job fair, following the event held in Hanoi, Vietnam, in August last year. Indonesia, selected as the second host country, is one of Lotte Group’s major overseas business hubs. Beginning with Lotte Mart in 2008, 12 Lotte Group affiliates now operate in Indonesia across various sectors, including retail, chemicals, logistics, information technology (IT), and construction.
Lotte Group’s sales in Indonesia exceeded 2 trillion won last year, and the number of local employees reached approximately 8,000. The group plans to hire an additional 300 local employees by the end of this year.
Following the global job fair, Lotte Group will also conduct “Global Campus Recruiting” by visiting major universities. After introducing the group’s and affiliates’ businesses and job functions at the global job fair, Lotte plans to provide career consultations for students at major universities through campus recruiting and connect them with actual employment opportunities.
A Lotte Group official said, “The global job fair is a program designed to allow local job seekers to explore the businesses and job functions of several Lotte affiliates in one place and communicate directly with current employees.” The official added, “We will continue to expand our contact with outstanding global talent who can grow together with Lotte through various recruitment activities, including visits to local universities.”
