"It Had Been Delivered Just Two Weeks Earlier..." A 100-Million-Won Tesla Hit by a 3-Kilogram Rock, but No Suspect Identified

[Financial News] Police launched an investigation after a rock weighing approximately 2.8 kilograms fell onto a passenger car parked near Haeundae Beach in Busan. However, they have been unable to identify a suspect for nearly two months.
According to EDAILY on the 9th, a rock measuring 19 centimeters in width and 12 centimeters in length, and weighing 2.8 kilograms, fell onto a parked passenger car at a parking lot near Haeundae Beach in Busan on July 10.
The rock pierced through the vehicle and landed inside, where it was found near the car seat. Fortunately, no one was inside the vehicle at the time, so there were no injuries.
Police investigated for about two months, believing that the rock had fallen from a corridor-style apartment building next to the parking lot. However, they reportedly have yet to secure any clues that could help identify a suspect.
The damaged vehicle was a Tesla Model X that had been delivered only about two weeks earlier. Its price was reportedly more than 100 million won.
An official from Haeundae Police Station told the media, "There were blind spots in the CCTV coverage, and nearby vehicles' dashcams were too far from the scene, making verification difficult." The official added, "We have classified the case as an unsolved case pending further management."
The official continued, "If a similar incident occurs, we plan to resume the investigation," adding, "We will continue investigating by collecting additional intelligence and other information."
