[Financial News] Actress Yoon So-yi shared an update on her life, saying she is currently running a grilled-fish Korean set-meal restaurant in Seoul's Seongsu-dong.
On the 7th, Yoon So-yi appeared as a guest alongside Han Groo on the YouTube channel "Han Chae-ah" and revealed that she is running a restaurant in Seoul's Seongsu-dong.
When Han Chae-ah, who visited the restaurant, asked, "You're a celebrity, after all. Don't many people recognize you when they come in?" Yoon So-yi replied, "Some people come specifically because they know who I am, more than I expected. Older customers also look kindly on me, saying that I'm a young person working hard."
When Han Groo then asked, "Do you plan to return to acting or take on another project?" Yoon So-yi said, "The industry is in such a downturn these days that there are more than one or two actresses around me waiting for projects." She added, "If the industry improves and an opportunity comes, of course I want to resume working," expressing her desire to return to acting.
Yoon So-yi added, "I have to raise my child until then, so shouldn't I do what I can from where I am?" She continued, "I'm ready to go back immediately when an opportunity comes."
She also said, "Once I had a child, there was nothing left to fear. As long as I don't embarrass my children, there's no reason to feel ashamed on set." She added, "In the past, it was important to look pretty on screen, but now I think it's okay to push myself boldly."
Meanwhile, Yoon So-yi made her debut as a fashion magazine model in 2001. She has appeared in various productions, including the dramas "Tell Me You Love Me," "Iris II: New Generation," and "The Last Empress." In 2017, she married musical actor Jo Seong-yoon, and they have one daughter.
