Samsung Electronics-Mistral AI Investment Agreement Signed on Occasion of Lee-Macron Summit

[Financial News] On the occasion of a summit between South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and French President Emmanuel Macron, Samsung Electronics and Mistral AI, a leading European artificial intelligence (AI) company, signed an investment agreement on the 8th (local time).
Samsung Electronics and Mistral AI signed the investment agreement at a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony held after Presidents Lee and Macron concluded their summit that day. Under the agreement, Samsung Electronics will participate as a strategic investor in Mistral AI, while Mistral AI will cooperate in developing a secure, Samsung Electronics-exclusive in-house AI model.
Cheong Wa Dae expects the agreement to accelerate bilateral high-tech cooperation at the national level, extending beyond a partnership between the two companies.
