[Financial News] Clean & Science is expanding its high-performance filter business from AI data centers into the U.S. Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) market. The company plans to make high-value filter media a new growth engine, leveraging its vertically integrated capabilities to produce everything from meltblown (MB) materials to composite media in-house.
According to Clean & Science on the 9th, the company recently signed a supply agreement for high-performance HVAC filter media with a global HVAC company. The products will be used in the U.S. HVAC market.
The agreement marks Clean & Science’s entry into the U.S. HVAC supply chain. After securing a track record by supplying HVAC filters to a domestic AI data center operated by a global company, it is now expanding its customer base into North America.
Demand for high-performance filters is growing in the U.S. HVAC market as indoor air quality management and energy savings become increasingly important. In particular, the importance of products with low pressure drop and long replacement intervals is rising, especially in data centers and commercial buildings.
In response, Clean & Science plans to expand its high-value product lineup, including activated carbon, long-life, and low-pressure-drop products.
Activated-carbon media are specialized for removing gaseous pollutants such as volatile organic compounds and odors. Long-life products reduce maintenance costs by extending replacement intervals. Low-pressure-drop media focus on improving energy efficiency by reducing the power consumed by HVAC equipment fans.
The company’s competitive edge lies in its production system, which spans materials through finished products. Because it can develop and produce everything from the core MB material to activated-carbon composite media in-house, it can respond to customized specifications from global customers.
An industry official said, "In the global HVAC market, products that can reduce total operating costs through longer service life and greater energy efficiency are becoming more important than the filter price itself." The official added, "Expanding supply references with global customers could also help the company secure new customers in the future."
A Clean & Science official emphasized, "Customer requirements in the global HVAC market are changing rapidly, with a focus on energy savings, environmentally friendly solutions, and high-performance materials." The official added, "Using this supply agreement as a starting point, we will continue expanding material supplies in the global HVAC market, including the United States."
