[Financial News] South Korea and France adopted 16 documents on diplomacy, security, nuclear power, artificial intelligence (AI), and other areas on the 8th (local time) to advance exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, on the occasion of a summit between President Lee Jae Myung and President Emmanuel Macron.
An agreement involving private-sector companies was also reached. Samsung Electronics agreed to participate as a strategic investor in French AI startup Mistral AI and collaborate on developing a Samsung-exclusive, in-house AI model capable of protecting its semiconductor expertise. The two sides adopted an investment agreement to this effect.
