“Senior, could you share some tips for getting hired?” Nearly 1,000 young people flock to UOS job fair

[Financial News] University of Seoul (UOS) said it held the “2026 UOS Job Festival (Job Festival),” a youth job fair, at the International Conference Hall of its 100th Anniversary Memorial Hall on the 8th.
The event drew not only current UOS students but also 961 young people seeking jobs. A total of 1,903 consultations were conducted, underscoring the high level of interest.
The fair adopted a “convergence” format, allowing participants to obtain recruitment information from public institutions and private companies in one place. The format received a strong response.
Recruiters from 10 public corporations and government-funded institutions affiliated with the Seoul Metropolitan Government—including Seoul Housing & Urban Development Corporation (SH Corporation), Seoul Facilities Corporation, and Seoul Business Agency (SBA)—set up booths and introduced each organization’s hiring criteria and the qualities they seek in candidates.
For job seekers hoping to join private companies, 20 alumni currently working in the field served as mentors. Alumni employed by Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, and LG Energy Solution in the semiconductor and manufacturing sectors, as well as by popular IT, platform, and financial companies such as NAVER Cloud, Kakao, and Toss Bank, shared firsthand job-search experiences and the secrets to getting hired.
Side events offering practical help with job preparation also drew attention. A “personal color” consultation booth was set up to help participants develop an image for job interviews. Booths operated by affiliated organizations of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) and the Seoul Youth Job Academy introduced various government youth employment policies and support benefits.
The UOS University Job Plus Center, which organized the event with support from an MOEL program, plans to continue helping young people find jobs through one-on-one professional consultations and skills-enhancement programs.
