Woman in Her 20s Dies After Being Forced to Fight Two Teenagers in Succession

[Financial News] Cheongju Sangdang Police Station said on the 8th that it had arrested two people, including A, on suspicion of joint coercion after they allegedly forced a woman in her 20s to fight two teenage girls, resulting in her death.
A and the other suspect, who are in a romantic relationship, allegedly forced B, a woman in her 20s, to fight two teenage girls, including C, one after another at a park in Cheongju at around 12:20 a.m. on May 29.
B was assaulted by C and the other teenager and taken to a hospital in cardiac arrest, but eventually died.
At the time, A and the other suspect reportedly told police that "B fell while playing tag and lost consciousness after her face was pinned under the buttocks of a person who was following behind her."
However, police reportedly found evidence through the autopsy and searches of seized mobile phones that A and the other suspect had forced B and C to fight under so-called "Yacha rules," even though they had said they did not want to fight.
"Yacha rules" is slang for fighting without rules or protective equipment.
Police also booked C and the other teenager as suspects without detention on charges of assault resulting in death.
