Yemen’s Ansar Allah (Houthis) Claim “Large-Scale Attacks on Saudi Aramco and Air Bases”

[Financial News] Yemen’s Iran-aligned Ansar Allah (Houthis) claimed that it had “carried out large-scale retaliatory strikes targeting facilities belonging to Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil company, as well as air bases.”
On the 8th local time, Ansar Allah (Houthis) announced that it had “conducted a wide-ranging military operation targeting key facilities in Saudi Arabia with dozens of ballistic missiles and drones.” The main targets included Saudi Aramco’s refining facilities in Abha and Jizan, as well as air bases in Najran and Khamis Mushait. Ansar Allah (Houthis) claimed that its attacks had accurately struck the targets and caused extensive damage to the facilities.
The attacks appear to have been carried out in retaliation for large-scale airstrikes recently conducted by the Saudi-led coalition against key areas in Yemen. Ansar Allah (Houthis) accused Saudi Arabia of “launching 121 ruthless airstrikes over the past three days from the Khamis Mushait and Taif air bases against Marib, Al Bayda, Al Hudaydah, Taiz and Al Jawf.” It also claimed that “the central prison in Al Hazm, Al Jawf province, was attacked, causing numerous casualties, including women and children who had come for visits.”
Ansar Allah (Houthis) described Saudi Arabia’s attacks as “an escalation for the benefit of the United States and Israel” and stressed that “we will respond to escalation with full-scale escalation.” Ansar Allah (Houthis) warned, “We will establish a policy of an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth until Saudi Arabia’s aggression stops and the blockade on Yemen is lifted,” adding, “We will continue carrying out strikes targeting areas deep inside Saudi Arabia.”
