SH Supplies 33 Mixed-Use Plots in Magok Industrial Complex... Fostering an 'Embodied AI' Hub

[Financial News] Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH) announced on the 8th that it will supply 33 mixed-use plots totaling 125,227 square meters within Magok General Industrial Complex, a hub for high-tech industries in southwestern Seoul.
The mixed-use land being supplied this time is designed to allocate more than 50% of the total building area to industrial facilities such as research facilities, while allowing the remaining space to accommodate non-industrial facilities such as offices, medical facilities, retail facilities, cultural facilities, sports facilities, and neighborhood living facilities. It is expected to meet the diverse space needs of companies.
Magok General Industrial Complex currently has 209 corporate research facilities, including LG Sciencepark and Kolon Future Technology Institute, concentrated there, providing optimal infrastructure for joint research and development and open innovation.
In particular, SH plans to establish Magok District as a testing ground for the 'Embodied AI' industry in the southwestern region through this supply. Accordingly, it intends to revitalize the related industrial ecosystem by actively giving preferential treatment during the business plan evaluation process to companies with excellent technological capabilities and business expertise in the AI field.
Applications for occupancy can be submitted by a single corporation or by a consortium consisting of two to five corporations. After business plans are submitted by October 20, the final candidates for consultation will be selected following a review by the Magok Industrial Complex Policy Deliberation Committee on November 26.
