Korea Housing Association Donates KRW 5 Million to Support Housing Independence for Pregnant Women in Crisis and Single Mothers

[Financial News] The Korea Housing Association donated KRW 5 million to support the living stability and housing independence of pregnant women in crisis and single-mother families. This was the association’s second donation following last year’s contribution, with part of the funds to be used for the initial settlement of single-parent families leaving residential facilities.
The Korea Housing Association said on the 8th that it had visited Aeranwon in Seoul’s Seodaemun District on the 7th and delivered the donation.
The funds will be used to provide daily necessities to pregnant women in crisis and single-mother families. They will also serve as initial assistance to help single-parent families preparing to live independently after leaving residential facilities secure stable housing and settle in their communities.
Drawing on its role as an organization representing the housing construction industry, the association linked support for vulnerable groups with housing independence. It plans to develop the initiative into a regular social contribution program that supports neighbors in need of a home during major holidays.
Kim Jae-sik, standing vice chairman of the Korea Housing Association, said, "For mothers preparing to make a new start with their children, what they need most is a safe home where they can feel secure and find support. As an association whose work is to build and supply homes, we find it deeply meaningful that we can serve as a small stepping stone on their journey to creating their precious first home."
Meanwhile, the Korea Housing Association continues its social contribution activities for vulnerable groups, including regular donations to facilities for elderly people without family support and assistance for young adults preparing for independence.
