[Financial News] Hana Bank announced on the 8th that Lee Ho-sung, president and CEO of Hana Bank, participated in the 'Life-Saving Finance Relay Campaign' to prevent damage from illegal private lending and spread the social value of inclusive finance.
The 'Life-Saving Finance Relay Campaign' was launched last July under the auspices of the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency to protect citizens suffering from illegal private lending and to spread the value of 'life-saving finance' throughout society.
Various organizations, including financial institutions, public institutions, and local governments, are participating in this campaign in a relay fashion.
Lee Ho-sung participated in the campaign on the 31st of last month after being nominated by Jang Min-young, president of Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK). He recommended LEE HWAN JU, president of KB Kookmin Bank, as the next participant.
"I deeply empathize with the purpose of this campaign, which aims to convey hope to those struggling with illegal private lending so they can rise again," said Lee Ho-sung. "Moving forward, we will faithfully fulfill the financial role and social responsibility of protecting the financially vulnerable, and continuously spread the value of 'life-saving finance' so that those in difficult situations can make a fresh start."
Meanwhile, Hana Bank is actively participating in the four central pillars of inclusive finance promoted by Hana Financial Group to revitalize the people's livelihood economy and eliminate financial blind spots: support for youth and small business owners, internalization of inclusive finance, debtor protection and prevention of financial crimes, and the expansion of social solidarity finance. To prevent young people from falling victim to Jeonse (lease deposit) fraud, Hana Bank plans to provide housing stability support in the second half of this year using the 'Youth Guardian Jeonse Fraud Guarantee Insurance.' The plan is to provide full insurance premium waivers for approximately 10,000 young people newly utilizing Jeonse loans.
