Hongcheon County is expanding on-site agricultural machinery services during the harvest season, the county said.

【Financial News Hongcheon = Kim Ki-seop】Hongcheon County is expanding on-site agricultural machinery services during the harvest season to ensure that farmers do not have to halt work because of machinery breakdowns or transportation problems.
According to Hongcheon County on the 8th, it operates a service that promptly handles problems involving agricultural machinery breakdowns, rentals and deliveries at farming sites. When farmers call the main number to report inquiries or problems, the county connects them with the rental office and relevant personnel based on the issue. They inspect the cause of the breakdown and carry out on-site repairs whenever possible. The aim is to strengthen on-site response capabilities so that farming work is not suspended for extended periods because of machinery failures.
Support is also available for farmers who have difficulty loading and unloading agricultural machinery. During the harvest season, the county provides a delivery service that safely transports rented agricultural machinery to farming sites. Major rented machines used frequently during the harvest, including combine harvesters and multipurpose combine harvesters, are being prepared for stable use by strengthening preventive maintenance and inspections.
Hongcheon County is shifting its agricultural machinery rental program from a simple rental-focused model to one centered on supporting farming operations in the field. In addition to rentals, the county plans to continuously expand services that farmers can experience directly on-site by linking deliveries, emergency on-site breakdown support and mobile technical training.
Yoon Seon-hwa, head of the Hongcheon County Agricultural Technology Center, said, "As the harvest season has begun, no farm should miss its harvest window because of a breakdown or transportation problem. We will establish a more comprehensive response system covering everything from rentals and deliveries to on-site repairs."
