[Financial News] The Community Chest of Korea advertisement featuring actors Shin Goo and Park Geun-hyung has surpassed 60 million cumulative views on YouTube just five weeks after its release.
According to the Community Chest of Korea on the 8th, the '2026 Annual Brand Advertisement,' released on its official YouTube channel on the 3rd of last month, recorded 24.95 million views for the 15-second video, 21.51 million views for the 20-second video, and 13.55 million views for the 30-second video as of 10 a.m. on that day.
This is the combined record of three videos composed of the same advertisement in different lengths. It reached 10 million views within two weeks of its release, the fastest among all Community Chest of Korea advertisements, and is also the first to surpass 60 million views.
In terms of length, the 15-second video has approximately 1.8 times the number of views of the 30-second video. The combined total of the 15-second and 20-second videos is 46.46 million, accounting for about 77.4% of the total, indicating that views were concentrated in these two short videos.
The theme of the advertisement is 'humanity' in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). Two actors with a combined acting career of 132 years sit side by side on stage and talk about how they still get nervous and make mistakes in front of a new script and the stage.
Through the scene where Shin Goo comforts Park Geun-hyung by saying, "It's okay, that's just because we're human," it conveys a message of comfort and solidarity, encouraging us to understand and support each other despite our imperfections.
The advertisement will be broadcast on TV, online video services (OTT), theaters, and digital media until October 31.
Lee Sang-ik, Acting Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, said, "It appears that the sincere message conveyed by the two national actors and the sense of empathy spanning generations in this advertisement led to significant interest."
