Park Jae-young of Korea University Wins Third Jeong Shin-young Journalism Academic Award

[Financial News] “Storytelling in Good Journalism,” a book by Park Jae-young, a professor at Korea University College of Media & Communication, has been selected as the winning work of the Jeong Shin-young Journalism Academic Award. 
According to the Jeong Shin-young Journalism Academic Award Committee, chaired by Bae Jeong-geun, former dean of the special graduate school at Sookmyung Women’s University, on the 8th, the award was established in 2024 by the Kwanhun Club Jeong Shin-young Fund to encourage scholars and journalists devoted to journalism research. This year marks its third edition. 
This year’s winning book, “Storytelling in Good Journalism,” explores the elements of “good journalism” through approximately 100 articles selected from more than 500 outstanding articles found in over 130 years of Korean journalism, beginning with The Independent in 1896. The prize is 10 million won, and the awards ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. on the 10th at Jeong Shin-young Fund Hall in Gwanhun-dong, Jongno District, Seoul, alongside a ceremony marking the fund’s 49th anniversary.
