It is also important to be cautious about the habit of making up for lost sleep during the week by sleeping excessively on weekends, as this can disrupt the body’s circadian rhythm. A consistent sleep rhythm stabilizes melatonin and cortisol secretion and normalizes the testosterone cycle. Recent clinical endocrinology studies have found that even hormone levels reduced by sleep restriction can recover to a significant degree when people strictly maintain regular sleep habits for one to two weeks. To restore disrupted hormone levels, you should first systematically design your sleep routine.
