Woman in Her 30s Falls While Descending to Underground Parking Garage, Dies After Being Run Over by Following Vehicle

[Financial News] A woman in her 30s died after being run over by a vehicle entering behind her when she fell while walking down the entrance ramp of a public parking garage in Gimpo City, Gyeonggi Province.
According to Gimpo Police Station on the 9th, a report was received at around 8:36 p.m. on the 7th that a woman in her 30s, identified as A, had been run over by a vehicle at the entrance to a public parking garage in Gurae-dong, Gimpo City.
A police investigation found that A fell while walking down toward the underground parking garage. The accident occurred when a vehicle entering the garage behind her continued forward without seeing her.
The driver, identified as B, was found to be a man in his 60s who worked as a designated driver.
Investigators determined that A had been lying outside the parking garage shortly before the accident. She got up and was heading toward the underground parking garage when she was struck.
A was in cardiac arrest when emergency responders arrived. She was transported while receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation but ultimately died from multiple fractures.
Police believe B caused the accident by failing to keep a proper lookout ahead. They plan to refer the case to prosecutors after determining the exact circumstances of the accident.
