Busan Metropolitan City Government Appoints Heads of 7 Affiliated Public Institutions... "Selection of Young and Capable Talent"

[Financial News] Busan Metropolitan City Government has newly appointed heads for seven public institutions that had been vacant since the application of the term-limit ordinance.
On the 8th, the city confirmed and announced the new heads of seven of the 12 government-funded institutions whose leadership positions were vacant. The appointment ceremony will be held on the 10th in the City Hall Protocol Room.
The city selected a diverse range of personnel, including IT experts from private companies, global financial investment experts, and figures from the media and cultural sectors, tailored to the nature of each public institution.
Kim Jongcheol, CEO of AI Collabo and formerly of NAVER, has been appointed as the head of the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency. The new head, Kim, is considered to have a strong track record from his work at private IT companies such as KT and NAVER.
Kim Su-jin, Vice President of ROKIT HEALTHCARE Inc., has been appointed as the head of the Busan Technology Startup Investment Agency. The new head, Kim, is regarded as having expertise in attracting corporate investment and supporting overseas expansion, having served as a manager at Macquarie Group Limited and a director at HANDOK Inc.
Song Seong-jun, chairman of the Policy Planning Committee of the Citizens' Policy Workshop and former Busan bureau chief of Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS), was appointed as the CEO of The Busan Cultural Foundation.
Kim Yun-gyu, a professor in the Department of Theater at Cheongju University, has been appointed as the CEO of the Busan Cultural Center. The new CEO, Kim, has built a solid career in the fields of dance and the arts, including choreographing the opening and closing ceremonies of the National Sports Festival for the Disabled last year.
Kim Jeong-a, CEO of J-Comms and a former announcer at TBN Busan Traffic Broadcasting, was appointed as the CEO of the Busan Global City Foundation.
Kim Yun-kyung, a professor in the Department of Advertising and Brand Design at Kaywon University of Art & Design, was appointed as the director of Design Council Busan, while Jo Jun-young, a former member of the Geumjeong District Council, was appointed as the director of the Busan Women and Family Lifelong Education Promotion Institute.
The city explained that it selected individuals primarily based on their expertise and field experience, as well as young leaders capable of driving change and innovation. In fact, those appointed as heads of institutions this time are predominantly people born in the 1970s.
The selection of heads for the remaining five public institutions will also proceed sequentially. Although the terms of the heads ended simultaneously on June 30, the heads of the Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation, the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, and the Busan Techno Park, which are subject to the City Council's personnel hearing ordinance, are scheduled to be appointed in October after personnel hearings.
