LG Household & Health Care CTO Receives Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit on Cosmetics Day

[Financial News] Nae Gyu Kang, chief technology officer overseeing research and development at LG Household & Health Care, received the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit at a Cosmetics Day ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in recognition of his contributions to cosmetics safety management and industry development.
According to LG Household & Health Care on the 8th, its researchers were recognized for enhancing the technological competitiveness of Korea’s beauty industry by leading the development of proprietary ingredients and convergence research in genetics and skin science.
LG Household & Health Care was the first in the world to identify a key gene involved in pigmentation by using skin-related big data from more than 60,000 Asians. More recently, the company has improved the stability and absorption of Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), an ingredient attracting attention for its anti-aging properties, and has launched new products.
LG Household & Health Care shared its key R&D achievements at the first Global Cosmetics Regulatory Authorities Summit (GCORAS), held on the same day. Regulatory authorities from 13 countries, including South Korea, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Mexico, participated.
