Hyundai Rotem Company Launches First Specialized Aerospace Recruitment Drive

[Financial News] Hyundai Rotem Company has launched its first separate recruitment drive exclusively for aerospace positions. The move is seen as an effort to accelerate the recruitment of key personnel as the company expands its next-generation aerospace business.
Hyundai Rotem Company announced on the 8th that it is recruiting entry-level and experienced employees for its aerospace division. Applications for the recruitment drive, which began on the 24th of last month, will be accepted through the company’s recruitment website until the 20th. Final candidates will be selected after aptitude and personality tests, interviews, and other stages.
The recruitment covers 14 aerospace-related positions, including ducted ramjet engines, hypersonic engines, methane engines, and propulsion-system test facilities.
This is the first time Hyundai Rotem Company has conducted a separate recruitment drive exclusively for its aerospace business. The company said the move is intended to strengthen the competitiveness of its recently expanded aerospace operations and secure key talent needed for related technology development and commercialization.
The positions being recruited for are directly linked to Hyundai Rotem Company’s core aerospace businesses.
Hyundai Rotem Company is advancing ducted ramjet engine technology for guided weapons and hypersonic engine technology through projects with the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) and the Korea Research Institute for Defense Technology Planning and Advancement (KRIT). Based on its experience developing South Korea’s first methane engine, the company is also pursuing the development of high-performance methane engine technology for reusable launch vehicles. In propulsion-system test facilities, it is expanding its business based on its experience participating in the Nuri (KSLV-II) project.
As it moves to fully develop its aerospace business, Hyundai Rotem Company is transforming itself into a comprehensive defense company spanning land and space. It also subdivided its research and development organization through this year’s reorganization, including the establishment of a Space Mobility Team within the Aerospace Development Center. The company is expanding the aerospace business role of its existing defense organization and uses AD (Aerospace·Defense) in organizational names to reflect that focus.
Hyundai Rotem Company is also investing in aerospace business infrastructure. In March, it signed an investment agreement with Jeonbuk State and Muju County to establish an aerospace production base. By 2034, the company plans to invest approximately KRW 300 billion to build an integrated aerospace production base that will serve as a hub for production and research and development.
The company is also pursuing talent acquisition activities linked to the recruitment drive. This month, it plans to visit major universities and graduate-school laboratories to hold recruitment briefings and other events for prospective applicants.
