Han Byung-do: "Han Dong-hoon's Political Cabinet Politics in the Style of a Politically Motivated Prosecution"

[Financial News] Han Byung-do, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon on the 7th, calling his repeated attacks on Kim Seung-won, the nominee for Minister of Justice, "political cabinet politics in the style of a politically motivated prosecution—bringing out and exploiting only materials favorable to one's own claims."
At a meeting of the party's floor leadership held at the National Assembly that day, Han Byung-do said, "We cannot tolerate actions that distort the facts through materials whose acquisition route cannot even be disclosed under the pretext of verification, or through selectively edited recordings," making the remarks.
He strongly urged, "(Lawmaker Han) continues to make one-sided claims without properly explaining the findings contained in the ruling in the related parties' trial and the prosecution's statement of reasons for non-indictment. Before continuing to inflate the allegations, Han Dong-hoon must clearly explain to the public who provided the materials and how he obtained them."
He added a warning: "If Han Dong-hoon made claims that differ from the facts, he must also take full responsibility for them."
Lawmaker Han has been escalating his attacks by releasing recordings almost daily related to allegations that Kim Seung-won solicited favors concerning a new drug. In the process, he has not disclosed how he obtained the recordings.
