[Financial News] The Busan Port Authority (BPA) said on the 8th that it recently held the “2026 Second-Half Price-Fluctuation Training and ESG Win-Win Cooperation Meeting” with about 40 partner companies of the Port of Busan.
The meeting was organized to improve partner companies’ understanding of the public contract system by explaining the price-fluctuation (E/S) system and revisions to contract-related laws. It also aimed to eliminate fraud involving impersonation of public institutions and promote sustainable mutual growth with partner companies.
During the price-fluctuation (E/S) training, an expert from a research institute explained the “contract amount adjustment system” in response to recent price increases. The session also focused on preventing disadvantages for partner companies and strengthening their ability to respond in practice.
The meeting also covered the mutual-payment system and preferential purchasing system to help stabilize the management of partner companies, as well as revisions to the safety and health adequacy assessment system aimed at improving safety at Port of Busan sites. In addition, the participants shared recent cases of rapidly increasing fraud involving impersonation of public institutions. BPA explained how partner companies can identify and block such scams, along with procedures to follow if damage occurs, and asked for their cooperation.
A BPA official said, "We will actively practice win-win management by protecting the rights and interests of partner companies at the Port of Busan and creating a safe business environment."
