'PUBG: Battlegrounds' to Bring in the World of 'Jujutsu Kaisen'

[Financial News] Krafton is bringing the world of the anime 'Jujutsu Kaisen' to 'PUBG: Battlegrounds.' In addition to character costumes and weapon skins, the company will add Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired locations and visual elements throughout Erangel, the game’s signature map, expanding the collaboration experience across the overall gameplay.
Krafton announced on the 8th that it will introduce collaboration content for PUBG: Battlegrounds and Jujutsu Kaisen through an update on the 10th.
The collaboration is notable for incorporating the world of Jujutsu Kaisen into Erangel, PUBG: Battlegrounds’ signature map. Rather than simply releasing character-themed items, the content is designed to let players experience the collaboration as they move and engage in combat across Erangel.
Following the update on the 10th, Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired locations and visual elements will be added to parts of Erangel. Character-themed costumes and upgradeable weapon skins will also be introduced.
An event will also allow players to complete missions and obtain items during the collaboration period. It will run on PC from the 10th through the 14th of next month, and on consoles from the 17th through the 22nd of next month.
PUBG: Battlegrounds, which celebrates its ninth anniversary this year, surpassed 1.3 million peak concurrent users in March. Following March of last year, the game has exceeded 1.3 million concurrent users for the second consecutive year, maintaining strong user traffic. Based on this momentum, Krafton plans to expand collaborations with intellectual properties that have high global recognition. The company aims to sustain double-digit growth by turning in-game buzz and user inflows into growth across the PUBG IP franchise.
A Krafton representative said, "We will continue to showcase PUBG: Battlegrounds’ distinctive fun through a variety of collaboration content."
